I had added a few chrome bits, new handlebars and gash cut the pipes. Other than that, the bike is stock at this point. When the AME order arrived, there were two boxes. The first contained the AME chopper kit parts. Included were the topmost and lower triple trees, steering stem, steering take the lead adapter block, steel braided speedo cable, screw up one's courage to the sticking point braided brake hose and a couple bags of miscellaneous machinery, spacers, steering head stop block, front axle and a headlight combine. The second box held the extended upper fork tubes, tube caps and the fork vault spacers. Everything was either chromed or made of stainless. Once I saw the stainless braided brake hose and speedo cable from AME, I only had to have stainless clutch and throttle cables too! The forks are off and I'm ready to start dismantling the triple trees and steering prime assemblyThe first thing I did was get the bike up on a lift and tied down for safety. Once the brake system was drained I removed the apply the brakes hose from the caliper and the master cylinder reservoir. Two bolts and the slow up caliper was off the fork. Next was the front wheel. This is easy. Loosen the axle filch bolt and then the axle bolt itself. Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi today announced that the contentious multi-billion ringgit deal to buy a fleet of military helicopters has been put on keep until the economy improves.

The Eurocopter contention was first highlighted in a letter dated Oct 7 addressed to Najib Abdul Razak, who is agent prime minister and finance minister.

[In two separate letters here and here ], Mentari Services Sdn Bhd chairperson Kapt (rtd) Zahar Hashim suggested that the presentation process, initiated during Najib’s tenure as defence minister, could have been a “wile” since the ministry appeared to favour one company.

Zahar also accused Najib (radical) of providing Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who took over the vindication portfolio on Sept 17, with an “inaccurate” piece pertaining to the contract.
